Typeface combinations and recommendations

Typeface combinations and recommendations

I launched Typewolf as a side project in June of 2013. Working as a designer, I was always frustrated by the lack of good resources for choosing fonts for design projects. Seeing type samples set in “the quick brown fox jumps over the lazy dog” isn’t very useful when it comes to web design—seeing how real type performs on actual websites is much more helpful. I’ve also noticed that other typography sites tend to be written from a type designer’s perspective rather than from the perspective of someone who actually uses type in their day-to-day work. I’ve been a designer for 17 years, so everything on Typewolf is approached from a designer’s perspective. My goal is to make Typewolf the absolute best resource available for everything related to typography on the web. Typewolf will always remain an independent site that features typefaces from all type foundries regardless of where the fonts can be purchased.

All-things stationary and graphic design

All-things stationary and graphic design

Keeps my Twitter feed fresh with new and timeless graphic design. From time to time they also share wonderful collections of things.

P&C opened its virtual doors in 2009. A place for our own designs, things we love by other designers from around the world & vintage items which we discover on trips and foraging expedition. It's a showcase for the things we have enjoyed since school. A long-term obsession with stationery has culminated in a constantly evolving store. Paper and office objects which are inspired by homework, the post office and school. We are both graphic designers and go on sourcing trips around four times a year with the hope of finding some vintage gems. The hunting is fun and currently we stock stationery from 18+ different countries. We want to spark a distant memory, make you smile or look at the most mundane in a new, and fonder, light.

Trends in graphic design

Whenever I am uninspired I checkout Trendlist. Not a fan of all trends but it is refreshing to see more unconventional work. There is a handy popularity timeline for each trend like Left, Right, Up & Down.

Trend List's task is to search, name and sorts these graphic design tendencies. Trend List tries to spot where and when they rise, which countries they're popular in and how they evolve over time. Trend List showcases posters, books, catalogs, magazines, album covers, and invitations for the cultural sphere.

Beautiful interviews with creatives from around the world. Make sure to watch the interview with Karen & Christian Boros.

We are an international network of individuals from diverse creative and cultural backgrounds, and have had the pleasure to meet and collaborate with like-minded people from all over the world. Our online magazine is the digital representation of a creative community brought together by a collective interest in art, culture, food, design, innovation, and social change. What began as a magazine to share the stories of our friends and the places they live in, developed into a platform that is driven by topics with change and tastemaking angles.

While our foundation is our online platform, we also collaborate with like-minded brands and organizations on creative projects like books, events, and video productions.
